Privyet, and welcome to our honeymoon blog!

We are a couple of sputniki (literally, “fellow travelers”) from Boston who were married on September 26th, 2009 in Newport, Rhode Island. Our friends and family have generously contributed to send us on a journey that we’ve been talking about for many years: a Trans-Mongolian railroad trip for three weeks across Russia, Mongolia, and China. We’ll be posting regular updates to our travelblog from the rails throughout September-October 2009, and we hope that our experiences will be of some use to anyone with an interest in any part of the world’s longest railway adventure.
